  • The challenge

Every successful project begins with a clear understanding of the client’s operational environment, energy requirements, and long-term business objectives.

Rising Eskom tariffs and electricity bills drove the project. Enigma is Africrest’s largest solar build with Nesa Power to date, powering 900 units, with further buildings still under construction.

The team worked on an active, dusty construction site with multiple contractors overlapping, and had to allow for future expansion and additional batteries as 3–4 buildings were still being completed.

  • Our solution

Working closely with the client, our team designed a solution that balanced engineering excellence, financial viability, and long-term operational performance.

Nesa Power delivered a 290 kWp rooftop solar system as a cash sale, working alongside the building contractors so solar and construction programmes stayed aligned.

Getting the system size right for 900 units was critical, as was leaving headroom for future expansion and batteries. Coordinating on a live construction site kept the programme on track for all parties.
