NESA Power Notice of Registration of C&I Solar PV plants with the Verified Carbon Standard
NESA Power is responsible for the commissioning of new, commercial and industrial (C&I) scale solar PV installations in the Republic of South Africa and wishes to register the installations with the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS). Each project activity instance will comprise one or more solar PV facilities, where the total maximum installed capacity of the facilities is below 15 MW, per project activity instance.
The project will result in a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions due to the displacement of coal-based electricity. NESA Power intends on registering all solar PV plants it currently manages with the VCS to contribute towards carbon offsetting.
NESA Power invites any written or verbal comments or concerns relating to the project.
All interested and affected parties are invited to contact Percy Ying from NESA Power within 30 calendar days of this notification.
